Lentinus Squarrosulus, also known as Hed khon khao is an edible mushroom native to Asia. It has an interesting feature in that it has rapid mycelial growth and can be harvested a few times a day! This makes it a great, abundant food source and it has been found to be a potent antioxidant. What’s not to love?

He Khon Khao grows on dead or decaying wood. It has a thin concave cap with a rubbery texture that is approximately 2 inches in diameter. It is white in color with tiny pink speckles.
