Grow your own edible and medicinal Macrocybe titans mushrooms with liquid culture syringes!

Macrocybe titans grow in tropical and subtropical regions and can be found in Florida, Central and South America. Not much has been studied on the medicinal benefits of this mushroom, however, it contains polysaccharides that have been shown to be effective in treating melanoma.

This mushroom is giant! Thankfully it is edible. It is saprobic and likes rich compost rather than dead wood. The cap can grow from 8-50 centimetres across and has pale yellow to brown with a pale cinnamon center. As it ages, the caps become whiter and sometimes crack. The stems are white and cylindrical, reaching 6 to 15 centimeters high.
